# Introduction

> Welcome to the Blue Chip documentation

Blue Chip is the earliest reliable list of startups being built on campus, found and checked by hand before they show up in funding databases. We look for the traces student founders leave behind: hackathon projects, demo days, campus grants, live sites, first customers.

## Overview

The Blue Chip monorepo contains:

* **Web Frontend** (`apps/web`): Next.js application with authentication, landing page, and dashboard.
* **FastAPI Backend** (`apps/api`): High-performance backend with Supabase auth and Temporal workflows.
* **Shared UI** (`packages/ui`): Shared React primitives and components.
* **API Types** (`packages/api-types`): Generated OpenAPI types ensuring type safety between frontend and backend.
